UNIFORM

At UCC you must always look your best. If you are not in correct school uniform you must bring in a note from your parents/guardians stating the reason why and how long this will continue.  Take your note to your Form Tutor who will issue you with a Pink Uniform Slip.

IF YOU'RE ILL… if you feel unwell whilst you are in college please go to Student Services.

IF YOU'RE LATE… Always try to get to registration or assembly and receive your proper mark. If you can't make it, go to Student Services.

EQUIPMENT…  If you haven't got a pen/pencil/other equipment go to Student Services before registration and buy one.

IF YOU NEED TO MISS A LESSON… for any reason. See the class teacher in advance. If you also need to leave the school site, see below.

IF YOU NEED TO LEAVE SCHOOL EARLY… You must bring in a note from home saying where you are going, why and when. Get this note verified by your form tutor and then show it to the class teacher at the start of the lesson. Remember to sign out at Student Services before you go.

IF YOU NEED TO GO TO THE TOILET DURING A LESSON… Make sure you go before the end of break/lunch! Make sure that you have your planner with you because the teacher will need to sign the travel pass sheet. Ask the teacher politely and they may or may not let you go.

IF YOUR PARENT/GUARDIAN NEED TO GET A MESSAGE TO YOUR TEACHER… get them to write a message in your planner and then make sure you show your planner to your teacher. They may reply so remember to take your planner back home to pass on the reply.

IF YOU'RE BEING BULLIED… Everyone should be able to come to school without being picked on, in any way. If someone in the school is making your life unpleasant, you don't have to put up with it. Your form tutor has dealt with cases like yours before. They know what to do to help. If you can't talk to your form tutor, you can email your Head of Year (Mrs Jones, on cjones@ullswater.cumbria.sch.uk for Year 7 or Mr Castle on mcastle@ullswater.cumbria.sch.uk, Mrs Daines  on kdaines@ullswater.cumbria.sch.uk for Year 9, Mr Jackson on rjackson@ullswater.cumbria.sch.uk for Year 10, and Mr Cooper on scooper@ullswater.cumbria.sch.uk for Year 11).  Please note your Head of Year will respond in person, not by email.

IF YOU'VE SEEN SOMEONE ELSE GETTING BULLIED OR HARASSED… Again, the best person to talk to is your own form tutor.
