When you are in Year 9 it is an important time for you a time to make your own choices/decisions on which subjects you would like take in Year 10. UCC has lots of advice and guidance on this and your form tutors will have individual interviews with you to help you make the right decision.

When you are in year 10 at UCC we have a “ready for work” interview day. You will have the opportunity to have an interview with a local employer/governor to gain experience; preparation for this takes place in your Citizenship/Wider Key Skills lessons.
When you are in Year 11 you will have the opportunity to have a 1:1 interview with either a senior member of staff or form tutor they will talk to you about your current performance and possible post 16 choices; you will have a second interview after Futures day.
Futures day takes place in February the college arranges for you to talk to employers and representatives from universities. There is also a presentation to you and your parents from Mr Dawson and all department stands will be set up in the sports hall for you to chat to teachers about possible subject choices.
