“Every year staff and students at UCC set themselves high standards for results at GCSE and every year they seem to be able to match these expectations. I am happy with these outcomes, coming at a time when nationally the picture is far from stable. What really matters, of course, are the results for individual students and, once again, the outcomes here are very good with the vast majority of students gaining the necessary qualifications to make their next step in their education.
Our curriculum offers a very broad range of courses, some of them recognised in national results tables, some not. These results are proof of the hard work of students and the dedication of all of my teaching staff.
Following on from last week’s pleasing A-level results, this has been a most successful year for UCC students.”

Headteacher Nick Ellery said:
“This year’s GCE and Level 3 results once again have held up very well for students at UCC. This is the culmination of the tremendous commitment and hard work from the students and teachers over the last two years during a period of course and examination reform. We are so proud of our students, who have achieved such fantastic results. We’re also very proud of the fact that the country’s top universities feature in the destinations of our students and we wish all of our students the very best of luck in their futures beyond UCC.”
